I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with my Master's Degree from Saint Louis University. I have worked with clients who have moderate to severe mental health symptoms for over 20 years. I enjoy challenging clients to get outside their comfort zone so I can assist them in creating a meaningful life. I use ACT, CBT and psychoeducation to give clients the tools they need to meet their goals and improve their lives.
During our first session, we will try to get to know each other to determine if you are comfortable working with me. I will listen to you talk about what you would like to accomplish during therapy and gather some information about your life. If we decide to work together, I will also assign you some homework to do in between our sessions
My 20 years of experience working with a wide variety of clients allows me to be comfortable with just about any presenting problem. I am not afraid to challenge clients and push them outside their comfort zone.
For adults seeking clarity, emotional insight, healthier patterns, and meaningful change. Clients who work well with me are often looking for more than a place to vent. They want insight that leads to action, and therapy that helps things finally click. Maybe you look like you’re holding it together on the outside, but internally you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or trapped in the same patterns. You may have tried therapy before and found it helpful, but not truly changing. If you are tired of talking in circles and ready for a more honest, focused approach, you are in the right place. This may be a good fit if you are... Tired of overthinking You analyze everything, yet still feel stuck. Repeating the same patterns Especially in relationships, boundaries, stress, or self-worth. Ready for honest feedback You want clarity, not just comfort. Looking for real movement You are ready to understand what needs to change and begin changing it

Lisa is excellent. Very honest, direct and helps me with planning my healing.

Mrs Sanderson is easy to talk to but more importantly is all about solutions not just talking. I like that she always has homework to keep me accountable. I never feel judged she corrects and redirects in a very assertive way that I need from a therapist.

She was not professional about me having to cancel two appointments for being very ill. One of those days I was in the ER. I had even given notice a couple days in advance on both occasions that I was very sick and couldn’t attend therapy. She cancelled all of my remaining appointments and never even reached out or responded to my messages regarding the situation. I never even got to speak about the most important things I was hoping to talk to a therapist about. She made fun of me for crying.
