I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with my Master's Degree from Saint Louis University. I have worked with clients who have moderate to severe mental health symptoms for over 20 years. I enjoy challenging clients to get outside their comfort zone so I can assist them in creating a meaningful life. I use ACT, CBT and psychoeducation to give clients the tools they need to meet their goals and improve their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will try to get to know each other to determine if you are comfortable working with me. I will listen to you talk about what you would like to accomplish during therapy and gather some information about your life. If we decide to work together, I will also assign you some homework to do in between our sessions

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My 20 years of experience working with a wide variety of clients allows me to be comfortable with just about any presenting problem. I am not afraid to challenge clients and push them outside their comfort zone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with clients who experience moderate to severe mental health symptoms. I enjoy watching clients learn new skills and have an improved quality of life. I also enjoy working with men who have problems coping with anger or have been involved in the criminal justice system. I have experience working in the prison system and can easily connect with clients who have served time in prison.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have used ACT to assist clients with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I use ACT to teach clients how to have a new relationship with their thoughts. I assist clients in identifying their goals and values and how to reach them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I assist clients in identifying unhelpful ways of thinking that lead to anxiety, depression, or other unpleasant emotions. I assist clients in changing their internal dialogue.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have worked with clients who have a history of experiencing trauma. I assist clients in understanding how their experience of trauma impacts their thinking and behaviors.
