Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker based in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula—and yes, I’m a proud Yooper! I’ve worked with clients across all stages of life, but I’m especially passionate about supporting older adults as they navigate the often-overlooked challenges of midlife and beyond. Whether you’re facing an “empty nest,” retirement, late-in-life divorce, family role changes, or just a general sense of feeling stuck, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can reflect, rediscover your strengths, and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. In addition to my work with older adults, I have experience serving veterans, children, and families in both rural and urban settings. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in whatever chapter you’re navigating next.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin to explore the situations or challenges you're currently facing. This session helps us start building a foundation of trust and identify what you hope to gain from our work together.
As a seasoned provider, one of my greatest strengths is the ability to meet clients where they are. I take a client-centered, compassionate approach, tailoring each session to the individual’s unique needs, circumstances, and goals. My focus is always on building a collaborative, respectful relationship that supports growth and healing at the client's own pace.
I specialize in working with adults navigating major life transitions—especially those in midlife and beyond. Many of my clients are experiencing challenges such as retirement, “empty nest” adjustments, divorce later in life, caregiving stress, or a deep sense of loneliness or loss of purpose. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure of your next chapter, I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space to help you reconnect with yourself and move forward with clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll explore what thriving looks like for you in this season of life.
As there are so many modalities to choose from, I prefer an eclectic method enabling me to utilize various therapy methods best suited to my individual client(s).
I find this method useful to process and normalize thoughts and emotions, and in essence commit to positive change..
Motivational Interviewing is a supportive method to assist clients in moving forward from 'stuck' situations.
