I'm passionate about having a judgment free counseling space where clients can feel safe and at ease to be open about who they are without feeling pressure to mask. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany and my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from C.W. Post Long Island University. I moved to Texas in 2012 and have continued to counsel and grow my virtual practice in both New York and Texas.
I use an Eclectic Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach to counseling, adapting to the needs of my clients. Through personalized treatment goals I can assist you in developing skills for assertiveness, boundary setting, anger management, stress management and time management. Development of these skills help clients to no longer feel overwhelmed by life stressors but instead they feel capable and empowered to manage them effectively.
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to create a judgement free space in which my clients feel comfortable to be themselves and express themselves freely. Being able to speak freely about their struggles without the fear of judgement allows for a greater therapeutic rapport. This encourages a therapeutic bond where my clients no longer feel judged and alone but instead feel supported and able to tackle the issues that led them to seek therapy.
I seek to serve a diverse population of clients 16 years of age and older with specific experience in areas of anxiety, depression, developing coping skills, life stressors and transitions, behavioral issues, divorce, anger management, and substance abuse. No issues are too big or too small to discuss in therapy. I'm here to offer you a safe and confidential space to express your thoughts and feelings and explore them without judgement. Let me join you on your journey reminding you that you're not alone and it is not too late to see the changes you want. Together we can develop a plan and figure it out together.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical, evidence-based method that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In our work together, you'll learn how to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.
