New to Grow
I am a clinical social worker, dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients feel heard, respected, and in control of their healing journey. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, perinatal and postpartum, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based practices, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques. I also have done Perinatal Mental Health training though PSI (postpartum support international). I prioritize emotional safety, trust, and client choice, while guiding individuals toward achievable goals and meaningful change. MY goal is to help clients develop self-awareness, resilience, and confidence so they can move forward with clarity and a renewed sense of empowerment.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and to begin building a plan that feels right for you. Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes. We’ll start by briefly reviewing consent, confidentiality, and any practical details (fees, insurance, telehealth vs in-person). Then I’ll ask about what brought you in now—your current concerns, symptoms, and how they affect daily life—as well as relevant history (medical, mental health, relationships, and supports). I’ll also check for safety (thoughts of harming yourself or others) so we can make sure you’re safe and supported. Together we’ll identify a few initial goals and discuss possible approaches or strategies to try. You’ll have time to ask questions about therapy, and we’ll agree on next steps (frequency of sessions, homework or resources, and scheduling). My aim is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of what our work will look like.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I bring deep empathy, consistent support, and genuine compassion to my work, creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with young adults through older adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and perinatal or postpartum challenges. My ideal clients tend to be open and reflective—people who are willing to explore their patterns, try new coping strategies, and engage in self-discovery.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have utilized CBT in clinical practice for the last 10 years. I have learned to recognize unhelpful or automatic thought patterns, challenge their accuracy, and replace them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. I utilize practical tools such as thought records and coping strategies to manage stress and emotional responses more effectively.
Strength-Based
Strength based treatment has shaped how I view individuals in the therapeutic process. Rather than focusing primarily on "problems", this approach taught me to recognize and build upon a client's existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. I help client's identify their strengths, past successes, and internal coping strategies and use these as foundations for growth and healing.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma informed care has shaped how I approach individuals in therapy by emphasizing safety, trust, and empowerment. I have learned how trauma can impact emotional regulation, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. I focus on creating a supportive environment where clients feel respected, heard, and in control of their healing process. I prioritize emotional and physical safety, building collaborative relationships, offering choice and transparency, and recognizing client's strengths and resilience.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
SFBT is a focus on clients' goal, strengths, and desired outcomes, without a ton of time spent on analyzing problems. I work with client's on identifying what is already working in their lives, recognize exceptions and challenges, and build practical steps toward achievable change. This method includes utilizing techniques such as scaling questions and goal setting to guide client's towards solutions.
