LMFT, 5 years of experience
Welcome! I’m Ann, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m truly honored that you’re considering me as part of your journey. Whether you’re facing challenges in your relationships, dealing with personal struggles, or seeking to enhance your overall well-being, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. Taking the first step towards seeking help is courageous, and I admire your willingness to invest in yourself and your relationship. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you on your journey toward a more fulfilling life.
Our first session you will receive a brief introduction explaining my approach, confidentiality, and the therapeutic process. Next, I will invite you both to share your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you both can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
My greatest strength as a provider is that I have been a client. I can personally attest to the transformative effects of therapy. My own journey has given me a deepened understanding of the therapeutic process and reinforces my commitment to supporting others on their paths to healing and growth.
My passion lies in helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of life and relationships. My typical clients are individuals and couples dealing with personal challenges such as managing stress, relationship dynamics, communication issues, conflicts, and emotional intimacy.
I am formally trained in two evidence-based couples therapy methods (Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method). I specialize in helping partners navigate their challenges and strengthen their connections. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where both of you can express yourself openly and work toward building a healthier, more fulfilling relationship. **I provide couples counseling with or without insurance coverage. If you do not have insurance, you have the option for cash payment at the rate of $185 per session.
I use CBT to help you nderstand how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviors. The goal is to recognize unhelpful thoughts and build healthier thinking patterns and behaviors. It’s a collaborative process—you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to guide and support you as we work through these changes together.
I integrate Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) into my practice to help clients who struggle with self-criticism, shame, and emotional distress become more compassionate towards themselves and others. The goal is to cultivate emotional safety, resilience, and self-acceptance. I use guided imagery, mindfulness, and practical exercises, to help clients rebalance their emotional systems and build a kinder, more supportive inner dialogue. My goal is to help you move beyond cycles of shame and fear, toward greater well-being and connection.
