New to Grow
I’m a therapist who specializes in helping people navigate overwhelming emotions, difficult relationships, and life transitions. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building practical skills for mindfulness, coping with stress, regulating emotions, and improving communication. My approach is collaborative and compassionate—I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe space to explore challenges while also learning concrete tools for lasting change.
In our first session, I focus on creating a safe and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. I typically begin by getting to know you—listening to what brought you to therapy, learning about your background, and understanding what you’d like to get out of our work together. We’ll talk through some practical intake questions, but just as importantly, I’ll invite you to ask me questions and share any concerns so we can begin building a strong, trusting relationship. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the process ahead.
My experience has given me the tools to support clients with a wide range of challenges, from navigating major life transitions to managing social anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which allows me to teach practical skills for managing emotions, coping with stress, and improving relationships. Beyond formal training, my work with diverse individuals has strengthened my ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood while also challenged to grow.
I work with adults who are navigating life transitions, struggling with social anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, and together we focus on building confidence, resilience, and a sense of direction. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel understood while also learning tools to manage challenges and create meaningful change.
I regularly use Dialectical Behavior Therapy in my practice to support clients who struggle with emotion regulation, interpersonal difficulties, and self-destructive behaviors. I focus on teaching core DBT skills—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—while balancing acceptance and change strategies. In my experience, this structured approach helps clients build resilience, reduce harmful behaviors, and move toward more stable and fulfilling lives.
