Hello! My name is Alexis and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has been practicing for 7 years. I received my degree from Pepperdine University School of Education and Psychology. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have supported clients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. My approach to therapy is person-centered. I prefer to use various interventions from different therapeutic modalities to assist clients in finding solutions that better their life. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where collaboration and evidence based interventions will be used to with clients to create a treatment plan and decrease unwanted symptoms/behaviors. My specialties range from anxiety, depression, trauma, and work/life balance.
In our first session, we will engage in introductions, and what brings you to therapy. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions and ensure we are meeting your therapeutic goal.
I truly try to come from a place of unconditional positive regard, not casting judgment and allow the client to feel seen and heard. I believe that therapy works best as a collaborative effort.
I love working with individuals who are looking to make changes that will allow them to show up as the best version of themselves. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have challenges that may be hindering them from making this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or sad and questioning their worth or what they may bring to the table.
