(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in working with clients of all ages. I am able to help individuals navigate struggles with anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, domestic violence, stress, and parenting issues to name a few. As a compassionate therapist, I meet clients where they are at and work from a strengths-based approach. I believe that all individuals deserve a safe place to heal, be heard, and share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in my approach and encourage clients to find personal strengths as they work through life transitions. If you're ready to take the next step towards a more fulfilling life or need supportive guidance, feel free to set up a consultation today.
During your first session with me, I will encourage you to share your goals for therapy and what you hope to accomplish in our work together. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the therapy process and if this is a new experience for you, I will be happy to explain my style. We can discuss things that work for you and things that are not comfortable for you. It is a great time for us to set the groundwork for the important journey you are about to begin.
My approach is fairly simple in the fact that I listen to my clients and learn as they speak to me. My soft spoken style is a strength for many, but I am always honest. This is your journey and I am here as a support and a guide, not to lead you. I feel that when clients know that they have a kind, caring listener who does not judge them, that makes for a successful therapeutic relationship.
Inividuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, or going through life transitions are those I feel most comfortable serving. Along with parents struggling with parenting issues and children who would like to share their thoughts and feelings in an open, honest setting. The perfect client is open to change and willing to try new things to feel less stuck. When clients feel that
