Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients will feel welcomed, safe and in a non-judgmental space where they feel comfortable sharing their story. We will spend time getting to know one another as I ask questions to begin understanding your background, current experiences, what you hope to get from therapy so that I have information on how best I can help. Clients will be encouraged to ask me anything they would like to feel comfortable in whom they have chosen to participate in the therapy with. Together will will begin to clarify therapeutic goals. My goal is begin building trust and collaboration so clients feel supported, heard and confident in the work we will do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe my ability to bring balance between compassionate support and meaningful, goal-oriented change. I create a space where clients feel genuinely heard and validated, while also helping them stay focused on the progress they want to make. My interventions are rooted in utilizing evidence based practices that include CBT, DBT, ACT, and other integrative approaches, which, I tailor to each individuals needs, strength, and readiness for change. One of my strengths is being able to meet clients where they are while gently helping them to grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am passionate about working with adults who are actively seeking support, growth, and meaningful change in their lives. I am well-suited for individuals who recognize a need for help and are open to engaging in the therapeutic process with intention and curiosity. My ideal clients are those who come to therapy with a willingness to explore their experiences with a desire to better understand themselves. They may not have defined goals but know that they have concerns they want to address. I approach each client from a strength-based perspective, recognizing and building upon their existing resilience, coping abilities, and life experiences. I value creating a supportive and nonjudgemental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My work is grounded in the belief that individuals who are willing to engage in therapy have a strong foundation for growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT by helping clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This is done through guiding communication that help clients identify patterns through open-ended questioning and gentle challenging. This intervention is a mutual collaboration between myself and the client.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I help clients with emotional stability while still ensuring they feel heard and understood. I implement role playing, rehearsal of skills, and follow up with clients on their ability to apply strategies in between sessions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With ACT, I focus on helping clients identify their feelings and thoughts by identifying them, minimizing/eliminating distress, and learn not be controlled by them.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I help clients understand the connection between intrusive thoughts, anxiety and compulsive behaviors. This is a gradual, structured approach to exposure that is done in collaboration with the client when the client is ready.

Grief Therapy

Although, there are several steps within grief therapy, I move sessions at the pace of the client. I support my clients through this deeply personal experience by helping them process, integrate and live alongside their loss.
