(she/her)
Hi, I’m Carmen—a clinical psychologist here in Missouri. Thanks for stopping by my page! I truly care about helping people through the tough moments that can make everyday life feel overwhelming. My hope is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded and confident as you navigate life’s ups and downs.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, open space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask some background questions to better understand your story, and we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what goals you hope to work toward. We’ll also explore how we can start moving toward those goals together. While we get started right away, I know that building trust takes time—so we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Clients often share that they find it easy to talk to me—and I believe that comes from leading with empathy, genuine curiosity, and a nonjudgmental presence. My approach isn’t rushed or rigid; instead, we check in regularly about how you're feeling, how things are progressing, and whether it feels right to continue. There's no set timeline—just a shared commitment to your growth at your own pace. And whenever life feels overwhelming again, know that therapy will always be a place you can return to—whether with me or someone else—because life is full of seasons, and support should be there when you need it.
I enjoy working with adults who are navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, or feeling stuck in difficult emotional patterns. I have a deep empathy for those carrying the weight of past trauma and am passionate about creating a space where healing feels possible. Whether you’re seeking relief, clarity, or simply a place to be heard, I’m here to walk alongside you in your journey.
