"Can she help me?" - A question you maybe asking yourself as you move through profile after profile, browsing bio after bio. Everything you are going through in your life right now, has brought you to this very point- where you have run out of solutions, options and ideas. You have tried everything you know so far. You're here, hoping to find a professional who not only understands you, but can also help you figure out how to redirect your life in a way that will be the most aligned, to what you want it to be. THIS is a moment worthy of pride. The fact that you are looking for help at all, says that you are someone who wants something better, something different. That you are not content with adjusting to struggle but you want to do what you can to elevate your life to a level that you feel good about. You're doing your part on working on yourself. How about I tell you what part I can play so you don't have to do that alone? Hi, my name is Nam and I have been a therapist helping people exactly like you, for 22 years. While I have 3 graduate degrees, several certifications and many years of helping people across 2 continents, under my belt, I have one solid mission in the work I do. To help every single person I work with find ease in their relationship with others and with themselves. I specialize in working with men and their loved ones with a focus on Relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first conversation, will be like like the preview of a movie- a glimpse into what it will be like, to work together. I will ask you questions out of curiosity, about yourself, about what you would like from therapy and where in your life you would like to experience relief asap. I typically will be able to offer you a map at the end of our session, of how we might go from where you are to where you want to be. If we feel like we are not a good fit, no concerns at all. You will leave with names of others who maybe better fits. My goal, is to make sure you get support- either with me, or someone else

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My style is conversational, engaging and collaborative- meaning, I dont nod my head and whisper "How does that make you feel?" over and over. I will ask you questions at a pace that you find safe and answerable and offer answers based on my experience and expertise. whenever helpful. I will support and validate and also roll up my sleeves and brainstorm solutions with you, when needed. My unique style involves being practical and playful, soulful and scientific, depending on the moment or the need at hand. I will empower you with information about your brain and why you feel the way you feel...while throwing in references from Game of Thrones at the same time. By the end of our time together, you will leave feeling clear on what is occurring, why, what to do about it and how to continue in a direction that sustains the positive changes we will make in your relationships. If this sounds like a style and method that works for you, please do reach out. Don't spend another night, tossing and turning being stressed about something that CAN get better. Lets figure this out , together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

There is a very specific form of hopelessness that comes from finding yourself having the same argument with your partner for the millionth time, and walk away feeling completely stuck. Or seeing "Mom/Dad" show up on your phone and immediately wanting to turn your phone off- because you cannot deal with the same questions and patterns that make you dread going home for the holidays. The overwhelm you feel when your baby cries yet again and you cannot fix the problem, or the internal conflict over working a job you love, for a boss you hate. One of the deepest forms of debilitation, is when we feel most disconnected from ourselves. A relationship that is rarely seen as one or given the same attention as relationships with others. Truth is, there is NOTHING wrong with you. Relationships *are* hard. We take driving lessons to learn to drive a car, go to school to learn to read and write...but something as universal as relationships? We are expected to succeed at, without manuals or trainings. If you are feeling unsuccessful, unworthy and stuck in relationships with loved ones, at work or just yourself, you are in the right place. Therapy with me, will do two things: 1. Offer practical solutions that reduce struggle in the short term so you feel better sooner rather than later. 2. Explore deeper patterns and concerns that will ensure that the same problems don't keep repeating. If you're wanting to feel connected, mutually understood and solid in your relationships but don't know where to begin or how to get there, lets chat.
