Hi, I’m Chelsea. I’m a licensed therapist with over 7 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and everyday feelings. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in person-centered care, I believe therapy works best when you feel truly heard, understood, and supported. I integrate practical tools with compassionate conversation, helping clients better understand themselves while building skills that create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are and feel safe exploring what you need.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A first session with me is a gentle, collaborative space where you set the pace. I start by getting to know what’s been happening in your world and what feels most important right now, while offering clear psychoeducation about how therapy works so you feel grounded and informed. Because my approach is person‑centered, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and a focus on your lived experience rather than a rigid agenda. We’ll talk about confidentiality, explore what you’re hoping to change or understand, and begin shaping goals together in a way that feels authentic to you. By the end, my aim is for you to feel heard, supported, and clearer about what our work can look like moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach stands out for its blend of person‑centered warmth and practical psychoeducation. I focus on creating a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood, while also offering simple, grounding explanations that help you make sense of your emotions and patterns. Clients often tell me they appreciate how supported and empowered they feel—able to explore their experiences at a comfortable pace while gaining tools and insight that lead to meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to work with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck — especially those navigating life transitions, relationship stress, or the quiet pressure of trying to “hold it all together.” Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who may appear high functioning on the outside but feel exhausted or uncertain internally. I work well with clients who are ready to better understand their patterns, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful change, even if they’re not exactly sure where to start

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation allows me to normalize clients’ experiences, reduce shame, and empower them with knowledge. I help clients understand how the brain and body respond to stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other concerns. When clients understand why they are experiencing certain thoughts, emotions, or behaviors, they often feel more in control and motivated to implement change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I intentionally practice unconditional positive regard, accurate empathy, and congruence in session, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism or correction. I believe that when individuals feel deeply accepted, they are more willing to engage in vulnerability and meaningful self-exploration.

Supportive

My experience with supportive treatment centers on strengthening clients’ existing coping mechanisms, reinforcing resilience, and helping stabilize functioning during difficult periods. Rather than focusing solely on deep insight work, supportive therapy emphasizes practical guidance, validation, and reinforcement of adaptive skills.
