New to Grow
I am Jasmine Harden, a native of Atlanta Ga. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I help clients put a name to their feelings, ignite their passions, while quieting the noise in their head in order to find their voice. Self-work is the true testament of sustainability of self-care. I am passionate about disrupting the system of trauma being a badge of honor. My superpower is speaking to that inner child inside of you who deserves a megaphone to communicate what they needed when they were younger in order to thrive as the person you are today whether you are in your teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, or 60s!
In our first couple of sessions, the focus will be on building a relationship and helping you feel comfortable. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, life experiences, and current challenges. Remember, you’re in control of what you share and when, as this is a safe space. Most of all, we’ll begin clarifying what you hope to get out of therapy.
My style of therapy is like trying on new shoes, you have to place yourself in it to see if it fits you. This is how I would develop evidenced based interventions from my most used frameworks(Dialectical Behavioral, Cognitive Behavior , Trauma Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment therapies). It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you.
I have over 13+ years of experience in mental health. As a result of working with children and adults, I specialize in trauma (PTSD), anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ+, coping skills, postpartum depression, sexual/intimacy issues, and corporate burnout. As we quiet the ruminating noise of doubt and shame, confidence builds, and passions are ignited. During therapy, I encourage my clients to show up as their most authentic selves, as sessions are a judgment-free zone. It is a privilege to work alongside my clients as they create a sustainable way of living that includes self-compassion and care.
I have experience utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase psychological flexibility by fostering acceptance of difficult emotions, identifying personal values, and committing to value-driven actions. I’ve integrated ACT techniques such as mindfulness, cognitive defusion, and values clarification to support clients in managing anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
For the past 13 years, my clinical focus has centered on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), supporting clients in building skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. I have extensive experience applying DBT with individuals experiencing mood disorders, personality disorders, and emotion dysregulation, both in individual and group settings
My treatment focus includes Trauma-Focused CBT, helping children, adolescents, and adults process traumatic experiences by addressing distorted thoughts, teaching coping skills, and supporting trauma narrative development within a safe, structured framework
