New to Grow
I’m a Certified Anxiety Specialist and LCSW who helps people break free from anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. I don’t just listen, I teach practical skills while working alongside you. My approach is hands-on and collaborative, meaning we work together in each session to understand your challenges, identify patterns, and practice strategies that actually make a difference in your daily life. Anxiety, stress, and self-esteem struggles can feel overwhelming, exhausting, or even isolating. I know how hard it can be when worry or self-doubt takes over, and I’m here to help you regain a sense of control. Whether you want to feel calmer, more confident, or simply able to handle life’s challenges without being held back, I guide you in building practical tools that are tailored to your unique experiences. I draw from a variety of approaches to meet your needs, including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and strengths-based strategies. This means we can explore what works best for you, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. I also include psychoeducation so you understand what’s happening in your mind and body, which helps make the skills we practice more effective. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to empower you to thrive. Therapy with me is an active, engaging process; we talk, reflect, practice, and experiment together. I help clients identify strengths, recognize patterns, and create lasting changes in how they think, feel, and act. If you’re ready to take steps toward feeling more confident, calmer, and capable, I’ll be here every step of the way, providing support, guidance, and practical tools to help you succeed.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you as a whole person. I’ll learn about your experiences, your past, and what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals and what you hope to get out of our work together, both in terms of skills and personal growth. This session is also a chance for you to share what you want from me as your therapist and how you want therapy to feel. I use this information to tailor our sessions to your needs so that we can focus on what matters most to you. It’s a time for understanding, collaboration, and setting the foundation for our work together. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. We’ll explore that together at your pace.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to meet clients where they are and adapt my approach to fit their needs. I combine practical tools with deeper exploration, helping clients understand themselves while also building skills they can use right away. I pay close attention to your goals, experiences, and what works for you, so therapy feels personal and effective. Clients often notice that our sessions are collaborative and interactive. I help you practice strategies during our time together, so you leave with concrete ways to handle challenges and make progress between sessions. My approach is flexible, evidence-informed, and focused on helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of control over your life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are ready to make a change in their lives. They may not know exactly how to get there yet and that is okay. They are open to exploring their thoughts and feelings and have a sense of the direction they want to go. These clients understand that therapy is a collaborative process. They come ready to engage, reflect, and try new skills to manage anxiety, reduce stress, or build self-confidence. They are willing to notice patterns that may be holding them back and practice strategies that can help them feel more in control. I work best with clients who are ready to explore themselves, willing to learn, and looking to create meaningful, lasting change. If this sounds like you, we can work together to turn your goals into real progress and support you along the way.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We’ll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions affect each other. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice new ways of thinking and responding that feel more helpful in daily life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I help you slow down and become more aware of what’s happening in the moment; in your thoughts, emotions, and body. This can help you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and better able to respond instead of react.
Eclectic
I don’t believe therapy is one-size-fits-all. I draw from different approaches and tailor sessions to what you need in the moment, whether that’s practical tools, deeper reflection, or emotional support. This allows therapy to stay flexible, personalized, and responsive to your goals.
Psychodynamic
Sometimes old experiences or relationship patterns still show up in our lives without us realizing it. We’ll gently explore these patterns to help you better understand yourself and make meaningful, lasting changes.
Psychoeducation
I believe understanding what’s happening in your mind and body can be empowering. I take time to explain emotions, patterns, and coping skills in clear, everyday language so you can better understand yourself and feel more confident using tools outside of session.
