New to Grow
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate family challenges, relationship stress, trauma, mood disorders, and multicultural issues, amongst others. I create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore patterns shaping your life, develop strong coping skills, and build the confidence to set healthy boundaries. Together, we work toward greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience—helping you move past old wounds and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you’re not sure what to say or worried about doing it “right.” There’s no right way to begin. Your first session is simply a conversation where we start getting to know each other. We’ll spend time talking about what led you to reach out, what feels most difficult right now, and what you’re hoping might change. You don’t need to share everything at once. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of your boundaries. You can expect the session to feel grounded and supportive. My role is to help you feel heard, understood, and less alone in what you’re carrying. If you’re feeling nervous, unsure, or even skeptical—that’s okay. Showing up is enough. The rest, we’ll take one step at a time together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my work apart is my ability to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and real. I’m especially skilled at helping people make sense of long-standing patterns shaped by family dynamics, relationships, and past experiences—and turning that insight into practical change. Clients often tell me they leave therapy with stronger emotional regulation, clearer boundaries, and a deeper understanding of themselves. I tailor our work to you as a whole person, not a diagnosis, helping you build resilience, confidence, and tools that lead to meaningful, lasting relief.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You might be the one who holds it together for everyone else—but inside, you’re exhausted. Maybe you’re constantly busy yet still feel behind. You say yes when you want to say no. You replay conversations in your head, worry about disappointing people, or feel a knot in your chest that never quite goes away. On the outside, you appear capable and dependable. On the inside, you feel overwhelmed, resentful, or quietly burned out. You may be starting to realize that pushing through isn’t working anymore. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or minimize what you’re feeling. We slow things down and focus on what’s actually happening beneath the stress—so you can stop feeling like you’re constantly running on empty.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a core framework in my work. It helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, increase insight, and develop more balanced and compassionate ways of responding to stress and challenges. My use of CBT is flexible and collaborative, integrating skill-building, emotional awareness, and real-life application to support lasting change.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is central to my work. This evidence-based approach helps clients understand how their nervous system and past experiences shape emotional reactions—often in ways that once helped them cope. Together, we work to reduce shame and self-blame, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with oneself. By building self-compassion and inner safety, clients often experience greater resilience, clarity, and confidence in their lives and relationships.
Trauma Informed Care
I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges. My approach integrates CBT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused care, with an emphasis on safety, collaboration, and nervous system awareness. I help clients understand trauma responses, build effective coping skills, and develop greater self-compassion and emotional resilience.
