New to Grow
I provide virtual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and self-esteem struggles. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, drained, or stuck in patterns of overgiving and overthinking. My style is supportive, direct, and culturally responsive. As a Black therapist, I create space for your lived experience, identity, and the real-world stressors that impact your wellbeing. Together, we’ll build coping tools, strengthen boundaries, and create healthier relationships.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you here, what you want to change, and what’s getting in the way. I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, relationships, symptoms, and what you’ve already tried so we can identify patterns and priorities. We’ll get clear on your goals and what support looks like for you. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a plan for next steps and a few practical tools to help you feel more grounded between sessions. No pressure to have the perfect words, just come as you are.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I combine warmth with honesty. My approach helps clients feel seen while also building practical skills to manage anxiety, strengthen self-esteem, and improve relationships. I’m culturally responsive and attuned to how identity, family dynamics, and systemic stress can shape emotional wellbeing. Expect clear feedback, practical coping tools, and support with setting boundaries that stick.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults who are tired of feeling emotionally exhausted in their relationships and ready to make real changes. You might struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, overthinking, or low self-worth, even if you’re “successful” on paper. You may be learning how to set boundaries without guilt, communicate more clearly, and stop repeating the same relationship dynamics with partners, friends, coworkers, or family. I’m especially well-suited for clients who want culturally responsive therapy with a therapist who understands the impact of identity, culture, and systemic stress. If you want practical tools and honest support, you’re in the right place.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, validated, and understood. Sessions focus on strengthening coping skills, increasing emotional awareness, and addressing current stressors in practical, real-life ways. I balance emotional support with gentle challenge to help clients build insight, set healthier boundaries, and move toward meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. This approach is practical, structured, and focused on building tools clients can use outside of sessions.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, clarify values, and strengthen motivation for change. This approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, supporting clients in making changes at their own pace.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I provide culturally responsive care that honors each client’s identity, background, and lived experience. Culture, family dynamics, and systemic stressors are thoughtfully integrated into treatment.
