The weight of emotional pain can be unbearable and lonely. It is difficult, impossible even, to envision feeling better, feeling fulfilled, feeling connected or just feeling like yourself again. These emotions may result from substance use/abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, or life/work stressors. I understand how daunting this first step can be and I provide a safe, warm space to help you make your way through this and find your healthy path.
In our 15 minute consultation we will get a chance to talk about What has happened in your life that has motivated you to try therapy and what it is you are hoping to accomplish in therapy. I will give you a little rundown on my therapeutic practice and then we will decide if I am a good fit for you. if so I'll provide you with some intake paperwork that you can take with you and fill out and in our first meeting we'll talk about you
Utilizing person-centered theories and many therapeutic approaches I am certified in, including psychoeducation, EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness
My role as your therapist is to walk with you on your unique path toward healing. I specialize in co-occurring issues, addiction, recovery, anxiety, stress, trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, and self-awareness or life transition. I am here for clients ages 17 to 180
I use EMDR for clients who are regularly triggered by trauma events where this deeply impacts your life as a certified EMDR provider we will go through the full process of developing an EMDR relationship
Has an integrated therapist I am a whole body clinical provider which means we'll talk about health nutrition in addition to mental status because of this my Initial intake paperwork is a little bit longer than normal to understand how health nutrition And possibly substance effect where you were at then you begin treatment with me
Has a solution focused therapist I do want to work with you to understand what is happening and where you are at now and then we will together work on goals and solutions to help you develop healthy coping skills, or better communication, self-esteem, identify and break codependency, process grief, etc. This give you tools to use in your daily life on your healthy track in the future.
