I’m Kelly Hooper, and I’m glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in Georgia. From an early age, I felt called to help others, and that calling led me into the mental health field. I would describe myself as compassionate, empathetic, patient, and someone who genuinely cares about the people I serve. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I believe that meaningful change takes time, self-awareness, and support, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward greater emotional well-being, hope, and purpose.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you hope to work through, and what you would like to be different in your life. I’ll also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process and discuss how we can work together toward your goals. You don’t have to have everything figured out before our first session, just come as you are. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and safe to begin your journey.
My calling to serve and support others is at the heart of who I am as a therapist. I bring compassion, empathy, patience, and genuine care into each session, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I combine clinical knowledge with a genuine desire to meet you where you are, help you recognize your strengths, and work alongside you toward meaningful change. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT and mindfulness to help you develop healthy coping skills, gain clarity, and navigate life’s challenges. For me, therapy is more than a profession, it is an opportunity to fulfill the calling to help others heal, grow, and move forward with hope.
My ideal client is an adult, age 18 and older, who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what comes next, but knows they want something to change. You may be working through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or a major life transition and looking for a safe place to sort through your thoughts and feelings. I enjoy working with people who are open to growth, want to better understand themselves, and are ready to move toward greater peace, clarity, confidence, and purpose. If faith is important to you, I’m also happy to incorporate Christian faith into our work together.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to help you identify and understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In practice, I work collaboratively with you to identify unhelpful or distorted thought patterns that may contribute to emotional distress or difficulty functioning. I help you examine the accuracy and usefulness of these thoughts and develop more balanced, realistic, and adaptive ways of thinking. My goal is to empower you to make positive changes and feel more in control of your life.
