I am licensed therapist in Florida with over 15 years of professional work experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am EMDR trained and work with children, teens and adults. My therapy style and approach draw influence from Gestalt, Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness and Reality based theories. My interventions include client-centered, motivational interviewing, thought restructuring, and mind/body connecting. I have extensive experience with Trauma, Addiction, Self Esteem/Confidence, Anxiety, Anger, ADD/ADHD, and Depression. I chose to be a therapist when I realized that people’s thoughts, feelings, and actions are rooted in their self-concept and it made sense for me to help with the pain, to be a supporter and cheerleader. My toolbox is large and eclectic and enables me to meet you where you are and help you move forward. We will design your treatment plan specifically for your wants and needs. You have found an ally in this process.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on getting to know you. I’ll ask questions about your background, your expectations, and what brings you to therapy. I will also share information about my practice and therapeutic approach. Together, we’ll discuss how we can begin working toward meaningful relief and identify the treatment goals you hope to accomplish.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I describe my approach as directive, which means our time together will be active and collaborative. Rather than simply asking the same questions about what you think or how you feel, we will work side by side. Together, we’ll explore deeply, build insight, and develop a personalized set of tools to support your growth. Therapy with me is a space to express yourself freely, strengthen coping skills, release what no longer serves you, reconnect with your sense of self-worth, and prepare for the future you want. There will be challenging moments, and there may be tears—but there will also be laughter, connection, and meaningful progress. I think a one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in clarity, openness, honesty, authenticity, warmth, and just the right touch of humor.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My focus area is treating Adults 18-60 and Teens 13-17.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is a technique where I guide the client using tapping, tones, or eye movements to help resolve or separate the painful emotions associated with a memory. It sounds unbelievable but it is rooted in the scientific explanation that our brain solves conflict in REM state of sleep. EMDR recreates that environment for the brain while we are wide awake. It works every time. The goal is to no longer carry with you the impact of your trauma from the past into your present. Every client I work with tells me they have felt some relief. Every single one.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I love this modality and have found it helpful for myself and every client. ACT is very comprehensive. We start by identifying your core values. It is our values that inform our choices, boundaries, and improve what ACT refers to as "psychological flexibility". We talk about how our control is limited and it is more about finding peace among the chaos.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is at the heart of all therapeutic work. It focuses on how we think and how we speak to ourselves in our internal dialogue. Our minds are incredibly powerful, and CBT gives us tools to understand that power and use it in healthier ways. In therapy with me, CBT might sound like: “Hold on—how did that thought come out? What’s a kinder, more helpful way to reframe it?” Many of us have spent years talking to ourselves harshly, often without even noticing. Imagine what can shift when we start offering ourselves grace, compassion, and more positive inner conversations.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT with every client because it is a very comprehensive modality for coping skills. DBT has four categories: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Each category has specific strategies to use to better manage life. We can get creative and personalize those techniques. It is like creating your own self-help toolbox.

Christina is a great therapist. She listens carefully to what you bring and validates where you come from. She will meet you where you are in your journal and skillfully walk beside you to where you want to be. My favorite part is the homework, in which we are in charge of changing towards our best selves. I definitely recommend her, especially if you are a more solution-oriented person.
