LCMHC, 15 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! I'm Melissa Campos, a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience in supporting clients through stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy, and I’m passionate about helping clients regain control and improve their well-being. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space for honest conversations and personalized strategies that address your unique needs. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, but I also value quiet time at home with my spouse and miniature schnauzer, Rudy. I look forward to working together to create meaningful change in your life!
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current challenges, goals, and any past experiences that feel important to share. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. By the end of the session, we’ll start to outline a plan tailored to your needs and discuss what our work together might look like moving forward.
In our first session, I’ll take the lead in guiding the conversation so you don’t have to worry about having the “right” words or knowing exactly where to start. We’ll focus on understanding what’s bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin to get a sense of what’s been getting in the way. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood.
I work best with individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to start. My ideal clients are open to exploring new perspectives and committed to building practical strategies for improving their emotional well-being. Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-doubt, or relationship challenges, I provide a supportive and collaborative space to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns that affect emotions and behaviors. My approach is structured and goal-oriented, offering tools to manage anxiety, depression, and everyday stress. Together, we work on building practical coping skills to support lasting change.
My work is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which emphasizes your strengths and focuses on what’s working. Instead of revisiting the past, we look ahead to your goals and build practical steps to get there. This approach is ideal for clients seeking clarity, motivation, and real change in a short amount of time.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build a more meaningful life by developing psychological flexibility. Instead of fighting uncomfortable thoughts or emotions, we focus on accepting them while taking committed action toward your values. This approach is especially effective for anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges.
