(she/her)
I am a bilingual Doctor of Nursing Practice with dual certification in Adult Acute Care and Psychiatric-Mental Health, boasting over 10 years of professional experience. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a dedicated university professor, shaping the next generation of nurse practitioners. As a mental health counselor and holistic wellness practitioner, I confidently deliver CBT and psychiatric services to children and adults, employing a compassionate yet realistic approach.
The initial appointment typically lasts 55-60 minutes, while medication follow-up appointments are usually 25 -30 minutes. I maintain an open email policy with a response time of under 10 hours.
I am a compassionate and realistic mental health provider who approaches psychiatry services and treats patients, both children and adults, as a vocation, never as a business.
When you work with me, you become part of a supportive team that genuinely cares about your journey. I will celebrate your successes with you and stand by your side during challenging times. Although I can prescribe medications just like other providers, my holistic approach means I take the time to deeply understand your diagnoses, medications, and treatments. Together, we will navigate your path to health and wellness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). CBT helps individuals become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking, allowing them to view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. CBT can be a very helpful tool, either on its own or combined with other therapies, in treating mental health disorders such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or an eating disorder.

I could not be happier. Previously, I have been told to take this or that without any real consideration of how it will help, worsen, etc. Vivian took the time to thoroughly observe and weigh my options tailored to my needs. She is warm, funny and highly intelligent in her field of practice. Not only that, she truly makes me feel understood and that she cares for my well-being. I am blessed to have her.

As someone who works in mental health, I’ve worked with and seen a lot of providers over the years, both personally and professionally, she took the time to explain every little thing to me in a way that made me feel comfortable & informed. I never felt rushed or dismissed. Her approach is compassionate, thorough, and professional, and it’s clear she truly cares about her clients and their wellbeing. I highly recommend her.
