Many of the clients I work with are carrying a lot. They may look like they're functioning on the outside—working, parenting, caregiving, and showing up for others—while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California with 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges and transitions. I work primarily with adults navigating relationship stress, communication difficulties, grief in its many forms, burnout, identity development, and the emotional weight of trying to "hold it all together." Many of my clients are asking themselves questions like: Who am I outside of survival mode? How do I show up as my best self? How do I communicate my needs more clearly and create healthier relationships? My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients can better understand themselves, build practical tools for navigating life's challenges, and create meaningful, sustainable changes that align with the person they want to be.
Our first session is simple: an opening, a small beginning, and a meaningful step toward your healing, growth, and goals. Starting therapy can feel intimidating. For many people, the first step is often the hardest—reaching out for support and choosing to be vulnerable with someone you have never met before. I do not take this lightly. I recognize the courage it takes to share your story, your struggles, and the parts of yourself that may feel difficult to talk about. During our first session, my goal is not to pressure you, but to get to know you. We'll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I'll ask questions to better understand your background, relationships, strengths, stressors, and goals so we can begin creating a plan that feels meaningful and personalized to you. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get to know me, ask questions, and determine whether I feel like the right fit. I approach this process with curiosity, empathy, honesty, and respect for each person's unique experiences and pace.
I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves without fear of judgment. Many of the people I work with have spent a long time carrying difficult emotions, putting others' needs first, or trying to navigate challenges on their own. My goal is to help clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they begin making sense of their experiences. One of my strengths is helping clients better understand the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be contributing to current struggles. Together, we explore what's working, what isn't, and what changes may help clients move closer to the life and relationships they want. Clients often tell me that our conversations help them gain new perspectives, recognize patterns they hadn't noticed before, and feel more confident in their ability to navigate challenges. I believe therapy should be both reflective and practical. In addition to gaining insight, we work collaboratively to develop tools, strategies, and actionable steps that support meaningful growth outside of session. Whether we're working on communication, emotional regulation, boundaries, self-worth, stress management, or navigating a life transition, my goal is to help clients feel more grounded, empowered, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from seniors to children. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and am skilled in addressing their unique needs as they navigate various life transitions. I spent five years working with children, adolescents, and teens in an acute mental health setting, where I gained valuable experience in crisis response, assisting with parenting challenges, and supporting youth in accessing mental health services.

I can’t say enough good things Megan. From the start, she's been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in my well-being. Her intelligence and insight show through in every conversation, she doesn't just listen- she helps me see patterns and possibilities I hadn’t noticed before. I always leave sessions feeling both grounded and inspired. I’m truly grateful for her guidance and support
