New to Grow
Citrine Danzer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals enhance their mental health and overall well-being. Her work centers on women’s issues, with a special focus on supporting those navigating food and body concerns. Citrine helps clients move away from rigid or critical relationships with food and body, guiding them toward a sense of trust, balance, and self-compassion. Citrine is also passionate about perinatal mental health and provides specialized support for those experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety, birth trauma, perinatal loss, infertility, and the identity shifts that often accompany motherhood. Her approach is collaborative and strength-based, rooted in the belief that each person holds the inner resources needed for healing and growth. Throughout the therapeutic process, Citrine offers thoughtful feedback, empathy, and practical tools to help clients move toward meaningful change and greater emotional well-being.
At the start of our work together, we’ll take a few minutes to go over important information, such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, and what to expect with Telehealth. These details create a foundation of clarity and trust, so you can feel confident that our work together is safe, transparent, and supportive. You’ll also be invited to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. We will explore what matters most to you, clarify your goals, and begin shaping a direction that feels meaningful and supportive. This process takes time, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable for you. There’s no rush to figure it all out in the first session, therapy is about creating space for understanding, growth, and healing to unfold naturally.
What sets Citrine’s approach apart is the combination of strength-based, collaborative, and compassionate care. She focuses on recognizing and building on the inherent strengths and resilience you already possess, rather than simply addressing problems. This approach allows clients to feel empowered and capable of creating meaningful change in their lives. She integrates evidence-based methods, tailored to each person’s needs, including strategies from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and relational approaches. Her work also emphasizes self-compassion, insight, and practical tools, helping clients develop skills they can use outside of sessions to navigate life transitions, body and food relationships, and emotional challenges. The results of this approach are often a deeper sense of self-understanding, balance, and confidence, as well as stronger coping strategies and a greater ability to engage in life authentically. Clients often describe feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected to themselves and others as a result of working together.
Citrine works well with individuals who are curious about themselves and interested in personal growth. Many of her clients are navigating meaningful life transitions such as motherhood, identity shifts, or deepening their relationship with body and self and are seeking greater alignment with their values.
In my practice, I use a strength-based approach that highlights each client’s inherent resilience and existing coping abilities, empowering them to build upon their strengths to support healing and growth.
