About me

Hi, I'm Becca- a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over two decades of experience helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, genuine conversation. I create a calm, compassionate space where my wonderful clients can understand their unique stories, build emotional resilience, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. I genuinely love what I do and want you to feel comfortable, seen, and supported from the very first session!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is simply to get to know you-- Not just the challenges that brought you here, but the person behind them. We'll talk about what's been weighing on you, what's worked or hasn't in the past, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I'll ask some guiding questions, but there's no pressure to share more than you're ready for. You can expect a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can exhale, reflect, and start feeling heard. By the end of our session, we'll have a plan for next steps and a sense of direction that feels doable and true to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm known for my ability to help clients feel seen, understood, and safe enough to go deeper. I bring a calm, steady presence and a balance of insight and practicality-- Helping you connect the dots between past experiences and present patterns while also learning real tools for change. My background includes years of trauma and crisis work, which taught me how resilient people truly are when they feel supported and believed in. I blend that experience with a down-to-earth, authentic approach that helps clients make meaningful progress without feeling rushed or judged.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I connect best with people who are used to being the strong ones-- the helpers, caregivers, and deep thinkers-- but are finally ready to make space for themselves. Many of my clients are learning how to set boundaries, quiet self-criticism, and reconnect with who they really are. I bring calm, humor, and compassion to the process, so you can feel supported as you learn to live in a way that feels more peaceful and true to you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behavior. Together we build insight into the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, and use practical tools to promote emotional regulation, problem-solving, and self-compassion. I tailor CBT techniques to each client's goals, combining evidence-based strategies with warmth and collaboration.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use tenets from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions while taking actions that align with their core values. Together we explore what truly matters to them, practice mindfulness-based skills, and strengthen the ability to move toward a more meaningful and authentic life.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the impact that past experiences can have on a person's emotions, relationships, and sense of safety. My focus i on creating a calm, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered, respected, and in control of their healing process. I integrate evidence-based interventions with compassion and transparency to help clients rebuild trust in themselves and others.
