Tinelle Evans Reno
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor who genuinely believes that the keys to supporting your mental health are already inside you, and I'm going to support and guide you on a journey to finding the keys and unlocking the issues that get you stuck and keep you from being your best authentic self.
My patients appreciate my intuition in knowing when to push a patient gently, and when to take steps back to allow the patient to process.
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Career Counseling.
First session
The first session is for intake where I will ask a lot of questions to learn about your symptoms, your functioning, your past psychiatric history, medical history and other important facts about you. I do my best to leave a little time for you to ask questions as well, and we may have time for a tool to support you until our next session.
Strengths
My patients appreciate my intuition in knowing when to push a patient gently, and when to take steps back to allow the patient to process. I am creative when it comes to developing interventions and coping tools that are unique to the client.
Ideal clients
Many of my clients start off anxious and overwhelmed by the world, and have suffered trauma and external oppression. They typically want to get the most out of therapy and are open to practicing tools they have learned in therapy.
Treatment methods
Brainspotting
I am Certified in Brain Spotting, and have been using it to support patients with trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain for over 2 years.
Narrative
I am a trained narrative therapist and have been using it in my practice since the beginning of my career. Your story matters, and I am a advocate of helping to explore that story and support a strength focused narrative.
