New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the beautiful state of Alabama. Over the past eleven years, I have been a fierce advocate and an experienced mental health professional who enjoys uplifting individuals at their darkest moments. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan and various cultures. I assist individuals who struggle with trauma, behaviors, adjustments to life transitions, attunement, depression and anxiety.
Our first session will consist of your story and why you are deciding to get the help you need. We will also take time to get to know one another. By doing this, I can learn your needs and begin the foundation of a positive and supportive encounter.
I provide a warm, comforting, and reassuring presence, cultivating a safe and comfortable environment where rapport building and validation of your needs can flourish. I encourage free expression, ensuring that you feel heard and validated. In every session, I bring a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach. My practice is rooted in authenticity and balanced with empathy to fully support your needs.
I strive to offer a safe space where individuals can reflect, grow, and embark on their healing journey. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are open and ready for positive change.
CBT helps people get a handle on their symptoms and a true understanding what's going on. It works by pinpointing and tweaking negative thoughts and behaviors that are causing the issues.
I have used CPP as it is helpful for infants, toddlers, and young kids (ages 0–5) who've experienced traumatic events that also have impacted the relationship with their caregivers.
EMDR has been helpful to assist individuals process and heal from traumatic life experiences. This modality helps individuals who are stuck or have feelings that are unresolved in the body.
I have utilized TF-CBT to assist children, adolescents and families who have experienced or been impacted by traumatic events.
