With all of life's uncertainties it's easy to lose focus on your well-being but every person deserves to be happy. My central goal is to help my clients explore what will help them to be happier. If you find that you're still carrying the weight of past trauma, loss, failed relationships or any other stressors I can help you put down all that baggage so you can focus on the present and leave the past behind. I strive to ensure that all of my clients feel understood, respected and heard. I also strive to ensure that as a rapport develops my clients will feel comfortable to open up as there will be no judgment from me regardless of what a client is struggling with. I'd love to hear from you and help you in your journey to a happier you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

For many, the thought of beginning therapy can be scary. It's hard to know which therapist to pick, it can be intimidating meeting someone new, and for those who have never tried therapy you're not really sure what to expect. There's also many families and cultures that still consider seeing a therapist as taboo. I'm here to walk you through those apprehensions and to show you that if you're ready to do the work and commit, engaging in therapy can truly change your life for the better. In our first session, I will review the symptoms and stressors you're currently facing, and explore your goals for therapy with you. From there, we will go over different options to help you meet those goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize various techniques and therapies depending on the client's needs, preferences and goals. I am versed in therapy modes including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked extensively with those struggling with addiction and substance use, mental illness, anger management, panic attacks and generalized anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, aging, significant medical complications, physical disabilities, cognitive deficits, acquired brain injuries and terminal illness.
