Hi, I’m Paul. I work as a Marriage & Family Therapist that believes there are ways forward through places of distress and challenge. Many factors can impact how we experience the world, others and ourselves and therapy is a space for us to have conversation about what is happening for you in order to discover paths towards wellness. I have experience working with an array of issues and I am an advocate that your therapist should be someone you feel understands your struggles.
During our first session we will get to know each other. There is nothing about having a first session that locks anyone into a commitment. Our time will be spent in dialogue about who I am as a therapist and whatever you feel comfortable sharing with me about your reasons for seeking therapy. In some cases I may assess for potential safety concerns or levels of distress though these diagnostics are only to find appropriate supports for challenges that someone may be experiencing at heightened levels. Therapy is a conversation and our first session will give us both information about one another to decide what the next steps may be.
I am a listener and an empath while being and existential realist. There are ways forward and I love assisting people in discovery and mediating wellness to the best of my abilities.
I believe my dream clients are those that have a curiosity about themselves and a desire to engage.
I use Solution-Focused Strategies with Emotionally Focused interventions to help my clients find balance and new response options to their context.
