Hello and Welcome! My name is David Gonzalez and I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2013. Since then I've had the privilege to aid adolescents, adults and couples across various settings ranging from residential treatment centers to hospitals to universities. I utilize several modalities in my practice but gravitate toward the Solution-Focus approach to support and empower you to get to the root of your problems. I’ll encourage you to take charge of your treatment and assist you in identifying your desired outcomes. Together we will develop a great treatment plan to get you back on track on your desired goals. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety or adjusting to new life stressors, together we will get you through this. We will work from a holistic perspective (mind, body and spirit) and address your individualized needs. With my clinical training and your insight, we can do great work! So congrats on making it this far and for having the courage to put your well-being first. Let’s get to work!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session together we will start with introductions, we will review your intake documentation, we will discuss legal and ethical obligations (HIPPA, mandated reporting etc.), we will go over your major areas of concerns and we will complete an intake/ treatment plan tailored towards your desired outcomes.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy. I will work alongside you to identify a modality that best suits your needs and personality type to attain the best outcome from our therapy sessions. It is important to me that you feel in control and comfortable with your process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Via my diverse work experiences, I have aided children, teens, adults and families as a whole. I have provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings ranging from working in homes to residential facilities to providing services via Telehealth. My strengths lie in working with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, assisting parents with parenting skills, assisting families with conflict resolution, assisting individuals/families with life adjustment struggles, and working with LGBTQIA individuals /families (e.g. coming out, bullying, transitioning etc.).
