Are you searching? Not sure what you are searching for? Do you feel you are missing something in your life? Are you wondering who you are and what are my next steps? I have been there! My name is Angela and I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness in myself and for those I speak with. I partner with you to help you discover that piece that is missing in your life, find those blocks, and help you to define and achieve those goals you have set for yourself. I use a unique set of training, life skills, and Jungian exercises to develop a specialized program just for you. We will create a program that takes you through a holistic approach of mind, body, and soul.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will review the intake paperwork, I will share some information with you, and then will ask you to tell me about what brought you to therapy at this time. The first few sessions are really about building rapport, since there is very little that can be accomplished without a strong therapeutic relationship as a foundation. On the whole, you can expect to get as much out of therapy as you are willing to put into it. We each have different needs or goals for therapy, and in turn, I adapt my approach to help you in the best way. Some are very focused on learning coping strategies, while others are looking for someone to talk to who is objective, non-judgmental, and has a fresh perspective. Some are living with chronic physical, mental or other conditions and are looking for a holding environment in which they can grieve the loss of their independence or their former life. My goal for you is to be able to walk through your life as happy, healthy, and whole as you can and want to be.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in working with depression, anxiety and trauma. We can discover the source of your symptoms and find the right exercises to help you overcome the blocks these have created. I partner with you and your journey and use my unique training and personal experiences to help you improve your life. .I have had exposure, either through personal experience or supporting a loved one, to the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you have symptoms of anxiety or depression or even feel like you are going crazy, I would love the opportunity to work with you to help you review and reduce those symptoms. I love working with women who have reached the height of their careers or have raised their children and now wondering who they are and where to go now. I also love working with people who have special talents and gifts that others may question.__

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term form of behavioral treatment. It helps people problem-solve. CBT also reveals the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow and help to release negative thoughts.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care is an approach to care that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and promotes environments of healing and recovery. It seeks to understand and respond to the signs and symptoms of trauma in patients, families, and staff, and to avoid re-traumatization.

Jungian

Jungian therapy an in-depth, analytical form of talk therapy. Its purpose is to integrate the conscious and unconscious aspects of the mind, helping individuals achieve balance and wholeness and to explore their “real” self. Wholeness of mind, body, soul.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT involves tapping specific points on the body, primarily on the head and the face, in a particular sequence. While doing this, the person focuses on the issue that they wish to treat. Works to reduce anxiety, depression, pain and stress.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy employs the use of hypnosis an altered state of consciousness caused by little more than the power of suggestion to help facilitate behavioral and emotional change. Helps reduce anxiety, depression, stress and pin.
