In your first session, you can expect to be welcomed into a safe and supportive space where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand your background, what brings you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about my approach and how we’ll work together. We’ll discuss your goals and begin to explore how we can create a plan that aligns with your needs, and I’ll provide tools and strategies that can help you feel more grounded moving forward.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard and understood. Beyond my training and experience, I’ve found that clients often connect with me quickly and share that they feel safe and supported in our sessions.

Trauma Informed Care

In my practice, I prioritize understanding the impact of trauma on your life and recognize how it affects your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I work to create a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment where you can heal at your own pace. With trauma-informed care, we focus on building trust and empowerment as we explore and address the root causes of your distress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be contributing to your mental health struggles. We will work together to replace these unhelpful thoughts with healthier, more balanced ones, while also developing coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and depression effectively.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I integrate a culturally sensitive approach to therapy by recognizing the profound impact that culture, identity, and systemic oppression can have on mental health. Together, we will explore how your unique experiences shape your perspectives and work toward healing in a way that honors your background and lived experiences.

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide a safe and inclusive space to explore your gender identity, helping you navigate any challenges that may arise. I offer support in affirming your gender expression and work to ensure that therapy respects and aligns with your authentic self, while addressing any emotional distress related to gender-related concerns.

Mind-body approach

I incorporate a holistic/mind-body approach in therapy, understanding the powerful connection between your physical, emotional, and mental health. Through mindful practices and somatic techniques, we can work together to release stored trauma, reduce stress, and promote healing, helping you feel more balanced and grounded in your body and mind.
