LPC, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I’m Zandra, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner resilience. With over 10 years of experience, I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anger management, grief and loss, stress, and anxiety. I also provide guidance and emotional support to parents and caregivers of children and adults with developmental disabilities. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and move forward with confidence.
During this session, we will: Go over important information – I’ll review confidentiality, your rights as a client, and what you can expect from me as your therapist. Discuss what brings you to therapy – We’ll talk about the concerns or goals that led you to seek support, as well as any previous experiences with counseling. Explore your background – I may ask questions about your history, current stressors, relationships, and coping strategies to better understand your overall picture. Begin setting goals – Together, we’ll identify what you’d like to work on and how therapy can best support you in those areas. Answer your questions – You’re welcome to ask anything about the process, frequency of sessions, or what therapy might look like for you. The first session can sometimes feel a little nerve-wracking, but there’s no need to prepare or say anything you’re not ready to share. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel respected, heard, and understood.
I focus on practical, evidence-based strategies that help clients make meaningful changes in their everyday lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. My sessions are collaborative and compassionate — I meet you where you are and empower you to build on your strengths. I believe in creating a no-judgment zone where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. I’m here to support you in overcoming obstacles and moving confidently toward the life you want to create.
I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating anger management, grief and loss, stress, and anxiety. I also provide compassionate support to parents and caregivers of children and adults with developmental disabilities, helping them manage the unique emotional and practical challenges that come with their caregiving roles. My approach to therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while identifying practical strategies that promote healing and personal growth. I focus on helping you connect with your strengths, gain new perspectives, and overcome the doubts or fears that may be holding you back.
