Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Massachusetts. I received my CAGS from Cambridge College and my Master Degree from AMC. I have been practicing for 25 years. I help children, adolescents, young adults and families struggling with eating disorders, grief, adoption trauma and parenting difficulties to become the best versions of themselves and keep working to have their life improve. I also work with one time consults. We all need a safe place to vent, a sounding board or someone to answer some questions. Whether you are looking for ongoing therapy or a one time consult, you are always in the driver´s seat.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, we will discuss what your goals for therapy are, I will explain some of the boring “housekeeping” policies and then we will come up with potential treatment goals. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with young people and families for the past 25 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges but most importantly how to create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.

Family Therapy

Family based treatment (FBT) is a treatment option for children and adolescents with an eating disorder who are living at home with family. FBT is currently the most promising treatment for children and adolescents with anorexia nervosa, and may also be suitable for some young people with bulimia nervosa.

Eclectic

You are unique. So our time should also be. We will mix methodologies to find what works for you. Eclectic therapy is an approach that draws on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. It is a flexible and multifaceted approach to therapy that allows the therapist to use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs.

Grief Therapy

Grief counseling is a form of psychotherapy that aims to help people cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Unlike other forms of psychotherapy that focus on present problems and past causes, SFBT concentrates on how your current circumstances and future hopes.
