Hello! I'm Michael and if you are reading this, you are likely considering therapy as an avenue to make a change in your life. This is the first step in building the life you deserve. Are you overwhelmed by your emotions? Stuck in your past? Worried about the future? Do you just feel...blah...like you can't quite put your finger on what's wrong? You are in the right place! These are questions I can help you answer. I help men and women improve emotional skills, reduce symptoms, and develop coping skills to deal with life's challenges. Together, we will create a plan that works for you. This is your life and only you know the answer. You just need a little help uncovering it. Change is scary and uncomfortable, but if you can choose to show up anyway, amazing things can happen. I realize coming to therapy can be tough and so I like to make your experience with me as safe and comfortable as possible. I hope to hear from you soon.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is that you will leave our sessions with insight and hope. Some days that may be only a sliver and other days a bucket, but we will work to get you to the place you want to be. Please be advised, I start sessions only at the top of the hour. Please DO NOT book sessions that start at 15 minutes past, 30 minutes past, etc. If you do, I will be in contact with you to move that time. This is for scheduling purposes and allows me to assist the most people possible. Thank you

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

There is no one way to do therapy with every client. Each person is different and I will treat you as a unique individual with their unique struggles. I utilize a solution-focused, strength-based approach to encourage my clients and come up with a way to manage their struggles. I look for patterns in your life so we can develop a plan for both the presenting issue as well as other challenges you may encounter.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have an interactive and conversational approach to therapy. Let's talk and see what's going on, then we can come up with a plan to get you to where you want to be. I also like to incorporate humor into our sessions. Therapy doesn't always have to be deep and serious, sometimes it can be light and contain laughter. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce-related challenges, and grief. I am NOT working with anyone under the age of 18 at this time.
