I work with individuals ages 14-60+ in navigating life stressors, anxiety, transitions, familial and relational issues, and self-confidence and esteem. As your therapist, I am dedicated to cultivating autonomy, authenticity in relationships, self-regulation, self-love, and confidence, and fostering a sense of self that is flourishing and integrated. My goal is to collaborate with you in achieving a state where you feel equipped to navigate life's challenges while maintaining a steadfast sense of groundedness.
Therapy with me is a highly collaborative process. I believe that meaningful change can come from deepening insight, processing emotions, learning new tools, and gently shifting patterns at a pace that feels supportive to you. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and a safe, compassionate space as you explore struggles, doubts, grief, and patterns that may be holding you back.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, integrating both mind and body in the healing process. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also integrate elements of attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
I specialize in working with teens and providing counseling that helps adolescents manage emotional, behavioral, and social challenges during critical developmental years. Depression Anxiety disorders (including panic attacks, social anxiety, academic anxiety, OCD, and perfectionism) Social media and gaming addiction Substance use issues Trauma School refusal Gender identity and sexuality exploration Bullying Family conflict Social and friend conflict Relationship conflicts
I teach age-appropriate skills that help teens understand the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—leading to improved mood and healthier choices.
I introduce practical skills for mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
A collaborative, non-confrontational approach that helps teens articulate their thoughts and feelings while reducing defensiveness and resistance to change.

I feel our first session went very well. Both my husband and I felt comfortable talking to Raquel.
