New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Mary Drumgold M.Ed.,LPC, NCC. I pride my work in providing a holistic approach to mental wellness, one that nurtures and empowers my clients, while also utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing. My work is deeply rooted in creating a safe, supportive space where my clients feel heard, understood, and capable of making meaningful progress. If you are looking for a judgment-free zone to be who you are, you have landed in the right place.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my primary goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where you feel at ease and safe to share. I strive to balance relatability with professionalism so that you feel both supported and confident in the therapeutic process. We’ll spend time getting to know one another—without pressure or rush—while discussing your current concerns, personal history, and what brought you to therapy. We will also explore your goals and what you hope to achieve, so that our work together is intentional and focused on what matters most to you. My aim is to ensure you feel heard, valued, and supported as you take this important step toward growth and healing. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside you in the process.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What you can look forward to in working with me is a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic experience. I strive to create a safe and encouraging environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I use evidence-based strategies to help clients build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen resilience. My approach is goal-oriented and tailored to each individual, with a focus on meaningful growth and lasting progress. Clients often describe my style as calm, compassionate, and steady.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected, and by identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, we can create meaningful shifts in how we feel and respond to life’s challenges. In our work together, we will focus on practical solutions and actionable steps while also exploring the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I value a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we work as a team to identify goals, build coping strategies, and create lasting positive change. While CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy are central to my work, I also draw from an eclectic, client-centered approach to meet your individual needs. I am committed to supporting and gently holding you accountable throughout the process, helping you stay aligned with your goals and the progress you want to see. My focus is on empowering you, strengthening your self-awareness, and equipping you with tools for sustained growth and healing.
