New to Grow
I am here to support you along your journey of growth. I am passionate about helping others explore and navigate life challenges. My focus areas include working with families, youth, adolescents, and adults through different hardships, including adjusting to changes, behaviors, and other life stressors. I have seven years of experience working with youth, teens, and adults in the community, school and private practice settings. I focus on creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and empowered while building practical skills to navigate life's challenges. I tailor therapy to each individual's needs, goals and pace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session, you can expect a comfortable and supportive space to share what's bringing you to therapy. We'll move at your pace, and there is no right or wrong answer- this session is about starting where you are and beginning to build trust and understanding.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to balance evidence-based interventions with a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I prioritize meeting clients where they are, pacing treatment thoughtfully, and tailoring interventions to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Clients often report feeling understood, supported, and empowered; while also gaining practical tools they can use outside of sessions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My focus is on providing individualized care that meets each person's unique needs, strengths, and goals. My experience and focus include treating anxious symptoms, stress management, and behavioral difficulties. I used evidence-based approaches to help you understand patterns, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviors and develop practical coping skills. I use CBT techniques for skill building while remaining flexible and client centered taking into account each individual's cultural context and readiness.
Humanistic
I take a humanistic approach to therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity and strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for change. My focus is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where each individual feels heard, respected and empowered. I use reflective listening and collaborative goal setting to support each individual in developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion and personal growth.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I focus on creating a safe space where therapy feels collaborative and paced to each individual's needs, values, and goals, allowing for meaningful self-exploration and growth.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use TFCBT to support children and teens who have experienced trauma in a structured, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate way. Treatment focuses on building coping and emotional regulation skills first, creating a sense of safety and gradually processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing to support each individual in increasing insight and strengthening for change. In practice, I utilize open-ended questions, reflective listening, affirmations and collaborative goal setting to help each individual clarify their values and build readiness for change in a nonjudgemental and supportive manner.
