New to Grow
It takes courage to take this step. I'm here to meet you exactly where you are and walk with you toward where you want to be. I'm Marci — a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Indiana with 17+ years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families through telehealth and in-person sessions. I work from a Solution-Focused approach, which basically means we spend our time on what you want your life to look like, not just what's been hard. We get clear on what you're working toward, tap into your existing strengths and resources, and create the kind of momentum that lasts well beyond our sessions. If you're navigating a complex life transition or feeling stuck and you're ready to actually do something about it, I'd love to work with you.
Every session follows a clear rhythm: a check-in, meaningful work together, and a concrete plan before we close. This keeps things intentional and focused, and makes sure we're always working on what actually matters to you. You set the direction. You'll share what brought you here, what you want to be different, and what feels most important right now. I listen, reflect, and offer therapeutic direction — but you lead. This is your journey. We'll take an honest look at where you are today — emotionally, mentally, and in terms of your overall wellbeing — so we have a clear foundation to build from together. By the time we close that first session, you'll know exactly what you're working toward, how we'll work together, and what comes next. As we continue, we check in on your progress every session. If it ever feels right to shift our focus, adjust frequency, or reassess your goals — we talk about it openly. You're always part of that decision.
What makes our work together different is where we focus: you're not spending months talking about your past before we start moving forward. My approach is integrative and strength-focused, which means our sessions center on your strengths, your existing resources, and the future you're working toward. I also pull from Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and other evidence-based methods — not because it's a formula, but because I adapt what I use to fit each person I work with. Sometimes that includes mindfulness. Sometimes it's humor. It depends on you. What I find is that clients start to see their own life differently — not just the problems, but the resilience and resources they already have that they weren't fully using. That shift from just managing things to actually seeing opportunities and feeling like you have some footing again — that's the work. I tend to work well with people who are navigating complex life transitions, who've felt stuck for a while, and who are honest enough with themselves to want something different. If you're looking for a collaborative approach — someone who will be straight with you, work alongside you, and take what you bring seriously — I think we'd work well together.
I work with adult professionals experiencing career transitions, work-life challenges, and evolving family dynamics. Many are navigating identity shifts or periods of low motivation that have begun to affect their emotional well-being and relationships. Therapy focuses on developing self-awareness, improving communication, and clarifying personal values — so clients can approach the next chapter of their lives with greater intention and confidence.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I love integrating solution focused therapy not because it's a quick fix, but a direct deep dive. It focuses on what outcome you want. Where would you like to be? How will you know when you get there? You get to see how you use your strengths, resources, supports and resilience traits to achieve what you want. You are not broken, you don't need to be fixed. You are in a brave place to stop focusing on the problem and start moving toward your desired result.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivation Interviewing because it focuses on how the person moves toward the change they desire. It opens clients to their own personal internal drive through collaborative counseling process which encourages the clients' resolve to achieve their end goal.
Strength-Based
Strength-Based approaches bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. How? Use what you do well, cultivate it and keep building with it. You have the skills, the resources, the support, the experience, the capabilities, the talent and even the know how to achieve what you want. During this person-centered process you discover the most effective path using what you have to achieve what you want.
Hypnotherapy
Is a transformative process that emphasis long lasting change. The client is not fixing a problem, or trying to change a negative thought or a behavior. Hypnotherapy shifts the way you see the world from the inside, out; from your perspective, to how you see yourself to what actions you take.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Simply put, you are the expert in your life, so you take the lead.
