As your therapist is to collaborate with you to find resolutions, promote change and personal growth. My role will involve collaborating with clients to resolve their personal challenges by establishing trust, building rapport, and collaborating to achieve goals and objectives. My role also involves assessing client's emotional and mental states, design custom treatment plans, and create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our counseling relationship will be built on mutual trust, respect, and understanding. Throughout the counseling process, you will develop self-understanding, set personal goals, while receiving support in the process of working towards your goals

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My counseling style comes from different theoretical orientations. It is my belief that every individual can become self-aware, resolve personal dilemmas and make positive decisions. Therefore, my techniques are borrowed from a person-centered, solution focused, reality, and cognitive behavior approach.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience providing services to individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and families who are experiencing emotional, cognitive, and behavioral dysfunction in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as a form of psychological treatment demonstrated to treat a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, trauma, and severe mental illness.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience providing solution focused brief treatment to help clients focus on solutions rather than the problems.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I have experience with culturally sensitive therapy using this approach to psychotherapy to emphasize the understanding of a client’s background and belief system as it relates to their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or other important elements that make up someone’s culture and/or identity.

Grief Therapy

I have experience providing grief therapy to help clients address behavioral and physical problems that they may face in the aftermath of a loss.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have used person-centered therapy to help empower clients to take ownership of their mental well-being. Shifts their focus from the mental health professional to the client. Allow clients to take more of a lead in sessions and discover their own solutions. Place the client at the center of the therapeutic process, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship and empathic understanding.
