Hi, I’m Connie, a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults ages 18+ through older adulthood. I provide a supportive, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable working through anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, blending practical coping strategies with compassion and genuine connection to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and the goals you would like to work toward. My approach is supportive, conversational, and judgment-free, and I want clients to feel comfortable moving at their own pace. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and supportive of your emotional well-being and personal growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is that I combine evidence-based therapy methods with a supportive, genuine, and down-to-earth style that helps clients feel comfortable and understood. I tailor therapy to each individual’s needs by integrating approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, Brainspotting, and solution-focused techniques while focusing on practical tools, emotional insight, and lasting personal growth. My goal is to create a collaborative space where clients feel supported, empowered, and capable of making meaningful changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults ages 18+ through older adulthood, including elderly clients, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. I am best positioned to support clients who are seeking a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where they can feel heard and understood. My approach focuses on helping clients build healthier coping skills, improve emotional well-being, increase self-awareness, and work toward meaningful personal growth and positive life changes.

My treatment methods

Brainspotting

I use Brainspotting as a trauma-informed approach to help clients process emotional experiences that may feel stuck in both the mind and body. In my practice, I integrate it with talk therapy, grounding techniques, and nervous system regulation to support clients dealing with anxiety, trauma, stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is always client-centered, collaborative, and paced to ensure clients feel safe and supported throughout the process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may be impacting their emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. In my practice, I combine CBT with practical coping skills, emotional awareness, and goal-focused strategies to support clients with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.

Couples Counseling

I use couples counseling to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and better understand each other’s needs and patterns within the relationship. In my practice, I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where couples can work through conflict, strengthen emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of communicating and problem-solving together.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients increase self-awareness, manage stress, and stay more grounded in the present moment. In my practice, I use mindfulness techniques alongside traditional therapy approaches to support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and help clients build healthier coping skills and stronger mind-body awareness.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and create practical steps toward their goals. In my practice, I focus on solutions, resilience, and achievable progress while helping clients develop confidence and clarity in navigating challenges.
