About me

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who believes that healing begins with authenticity and self-acceptance. My work centers on creating a safe, inclusive space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore all parts of their identity. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors intersect, and to reframe patterns that may no longer serve them. I also draw on distress tolerance and emotional regulation techniques to support clients in managing difficult emotions with compassion and resilience. At the heart of my practice is the belief that each person has the capacity for growth and change. I strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences while guiding them toward greater confidence, balance, and authenticity. My goal is to help individuals not just cope, but truly thrive — living unapologetically as themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My main goal is to create a space that feels safe and supportive — somewhere you can talk openly about whatever feels important, without fear of judgment. You get to decide what you share and when you share it; we’ll always go at your pace. Everyone’s story is unique, and there’s no ‘right’ way to begin therapy. Some people like to start by talking about what’s been happening recently, and others prefer to share some background or history. We can explore things together in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. Also, I want you to know that I welcome and affirm all identities and experiences here — that includes your gender, orientation, background, and any parts of yourself that matter to you. This space is for you to show up as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring realness and relatability into every session. I believe therapy works best when it feels like an honest, human connection — not a performance. My goal is to meet clients where they are, offering warmth, humor, and authenticity as we explore life’s challenges together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with children, teens, and adults who are seeking support in understanding themselves and their experiences more deeply. My practice welcomes individuals and families from all walks of life, including those in the foster care system and those healing from trauma, grief, or loss. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate complex emotions, life transitions, and relationships — whether within families, friendships, or romantic partnerships. Many of my clients are learning to manage anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm, or they’re processing experiences that have shaped their sense of identity and self-worth. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and distress tolerance techniques to help clients build skills for emotional regulation and resilience. My approach is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and identity-conscious, grounded in compassion and curiosity. Whether you’re a young person learning to find your voice, an adult navigating change, or someone healing from pain and loss, I’m here to offer a safe and supportive space where growth, confidence, and authentic connection can flourish.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

y therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on the identification and restructuring of maladaptive cognitions and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. I integrate LGBTQIA+ affirming principles to ensure interventions are culturally responsive and supportive of diverse identities. Through this framework, clients learn to enhance emotional regulation, improve coping skills, and foster lasting cognitive and behavioral change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my work, I use distress tolerance techniques and other evidence-based strategies to help clients navigate intense emotions and develop stronger emotional regulation. My goal is to support each person in building confidence and living unapologetically as their authentic self.

Gender-affirming therapy

As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore all parts of their identities without fear or judgment. I honor the diversity of each individual’s experience and recognize that identity deeply shapes how we see and move through the world. My goal is to help clients cultivate confidence and self-acceptance, empowering them to live authentically and unapologetically as themselves.
