I'm Taylor, an LCSW out of Philadelphia. I earned my Masters in Social Work at Boston College and have been practicing for 6 years. My experiences vary as I come from working in schools, mobile crisis settings, emergency departments, and hospitals. I love DBT, especially when I get to practice skills with folks. I've worked with folks from varying backgrounds including Veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Let's talk about you! What are your goals for therapy? What are your previous experiences with therapy? What can I do to make this a successful experience for you? We will typically review confidentiality and your intake paperwork as well as discuss any questions or concerns you may have. I want you to get a feel for my personality and vice versa.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm easy-going. I'm calm under pressure and handle crisis well. Suicidal ideation doesn't make me nervous or uncomfortable. I'm LGBTQ+ and work hard to provide affirming care.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I'm trained in providing individual DBT and DBT skills training. I've worked with folks who are attending DBT skills groups elsewhere and need an individual DBT therapist. I've also provided DBT-informed therapy based on the principles and skills of DBT.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I help create a nonjudgmental space for us to explore together safely. There is no one-size fits all approach to therapy and I believe in getting to know each client as an individual and helping to highlight their unique qualities. This is your therapy, your session, so you are going to take the lead. I'm here to aid you in self-discovery and growth.

Psychodynamic

I use your past to help you understand the present. We can learn so much from our unconscious and our past experiences, emotions, behaviors, and relationships impact who we are today and where we might be going in the future.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach each of my clients with a trauma-informed lens. We all carry things with us from day to day and I try to be cognizant of that. I'm here to validate you and your experiences and help you heal from trauma, not cause more.
