Hi! I am Kim Allen. I am excited to meet with you! I have been working with individuals of all ages for over 15 years. I have always been passionate about helping others and would love to support you whether you are simply going through some tough times, needs some motivation in making a change in your life or are struggling with some more difficult challenges. I have worked with a variety of populations including victims of trauma; parents, adolescents and children struggling with mental health or other neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, etc). and individuals working to make lifestyle changes such as diet and nutritional changes. I have also worked with couples on improving their communication and relationship skills. I am particularly passionate about helping others find ways to make changes using natural means including things such as meditation, dietary changes, nutritional supplementation and behavior modification. Whether you are new to therapy or just seeking someone new to work with, I understand that taking the step to meet with someone new can be overwhelming. You have taken the first step toward making change. I hope you will let me help you take the next step!
Meeting someone new can be overwhelming, especially when you will be sharing private and at times intimate details about yourself. I take this very seriously and feel that it is important for a trusting relationship be built between us. You can expect the first session to be about building a relationship of trust and developing an understanding of the goals you have for therapy. As we move through sessions we will develop a plan together on how to best address the concerns you are bringing to therapy. Sessions will then proceed with reaching your goals in mind.
While I have experience working with a variety of individuals and continue to enjoy supporting all populations, I particularly thrive in working with individuals that are open to trying less conventional methods. While I feel that medications can be helpful, I find that there are a number of other types of intervention that can help people long term including making dietary change, learning stress management, utilizing talk therapy, exercise, etc.

Kim was very down to earth and consequently I was very comfortable during our session. She smiled a lot and encouraged me to open up about my problems. She didn’t seem to try and act “professional”. I would highly recommend her especially to anyone with a lot of anxiety. I’m happy to have found her!

I think Kimberly is a wonderful therapist. I enjoy working with her. Her calm demeanour and problem solving skills add so much value to our sessions. She challenges me to think outside the box. I really enjoy my time with her and am blessed to have connected to a counselor who treats me as an important person who has real feelings. Not someone who’s broken beyond repair. I hope to stay matched with and working with Kimberly for the duration of my therapy.

In dealing with a lot of life trauma and she has been very kind, warm and genuine in her therapeutic care. She offers really great advice and guidance. She listens well, I do a lot of the talking :/, lol. But she is truly a great listener and helps me sort out events that are happening in my life and helps me see different approaches to situations. She’s also very easy going and flexible and I feel very comfortable speaking with her about difficult things. Kim truly cares and is goal oriented.
I have spent many years training and utilizing this practical technique which is simple to use for Clients.
