I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I use a client-centered therapeutic approach, solution-focused, strength-based, and very supportive allowing my clients to find the answers within themselves. I have over 4 years of experience working at the Department of State Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker treating patients suffering from severe mental illness and 5 years working in all five of San Luis Obispo County Hospital's Emergency Departments, specializing in mental health crisis and stabilization.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm welcome and positive energy. Clients can expect to be heard and we can start to build a path towards a therapeutic journey. Our first session will be about your goals, expectations, and where you want to be after a few sessions. Most importantly, it's about building trust and our relationship in therapy.
My communication style starts with listening. Clients can expect a calm and professional communication style in a positive and safe environment. I want clients to feel comfortable discussing anything on their mind.
My focus is working with teens and adults experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, school and work-related stress.
