I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a decade of combined experience as a mental health therapist and wellness coach. My clinical background includes working with adolescents, adults, families, and older adults across a wide range of concerns such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adoption related challenges, ADHD, weight concerns, and LGBTQ related experiences. I hold bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Oregon, a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Foster and Adoptive Family Therapy. I blend trauma informed, brain-based, and holistic approaches including art, movement, somatic awareness, and DBT skills to help clients build resilience and reconnect with their most authentic goals. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in cultural awareness, respect, and compassion. I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels and strive instead to create a space where clients feel supported, empowered, and genuinely heard.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what feels most important to address, and what goals you’d like to work toward. I invite clients to share at a comfortable pace without pressure or expectation. We will begin exploring your history, current concerns, and strengths while discussing the therapeutic approaches that may fit you best. My goal is to create a foundation of trust, clarity, and safety so you leave feeling understood and supported in the direction you want to move.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in offering a warm, grounded, and trauma-informed presence while integrating a wide range of effective therapeutic approaches. I blend ACT, DBT skills, somatic tools, mindfulness, and brain based strategies to help clients understand their internal patterns and create meaningful, sustainable change. I pride myself on being collaborative, culturally responsive, and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience. Clients often share that they feel genuinely seen, validated, and empowered in our work together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals seeking a compassionate, collaborative space to explore their emotional world, navigate challenges, and deepen their sense of self. I am especially well-suited to work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and identity-related concerns, including LGBTQIA2S+ clients. I also support clients working on self-esteem, authenticity, and nervous system regulation. Those who appreciate holistic approaches, such as somatic awareness, mindfulness, creativity, and values based work often find our work together meaningful and transformative.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility by identifying personal values and developing skills to handle difficult thoughts and feelings. I have experience integrating ACT with trauma and identity related work to promote meaningful, value-driven change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT skills: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, to support clients in managing overwhelming emotions and building healthier coping strategies. I use DBT both structure based and creatively adapted to each client’s needs.

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide gender-affirming care by offering a safe, validating space for transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse clients. I support clients through exploration, transition-related needs, identity development, and mental health concerns using evidence-based, affirming practices. I provide gender affirming care including letters for HRT and gender confirmation surgery. I have extensive training through CEUs as well as personal experience.

Trauma Informed Care

I use trauma-informed care by prioritizing safety, empowerment, and collaboration in every session. My approach includes recognizing the impact of trauma on the nervous system, pacing interventions carefully, and helping clients rebuild trust, resilience, and internal stability. I have completed CCTS training.

Mind-body approach

I utilize mind-body approaches such as grounding, breathwork, somatic awareness, and nervous-system education to help clients understand how emotional experiences show up physically. I integrate these tools to increase regulation, reduce stress, and support trauma recovery.
