Hi, I’m Natalie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families. I’ve worked with clients navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and parenting stressors, and I aim to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered. I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, but are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and solution-focused. Drawing from CBT and DBT, I help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also building practical tools to support lasting change. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin exploring the challenges you’re currently facing. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating space for you to share what’s been weighing on you and what led you to seek support at this time. We’ll also gently explore your past experiences to help me better understand your story, your relationships, and the patterns that may be impacting your current situation. This helps me gain a fuller picture of who you are and what’s most important to you, so that our work together feels relevant and meaningful. Throughout the session, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and respected. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and begin identifying areas where we can focus our work. From there, we’ll collaborate to create a plan that aligns with your goals, values, and readiness for change. My goal is for you to leave that first session not only feeling understood, but also with a clearer sense of direction and hope for what’s ahead.

What stands out about my approach is the balance between compassion and practicality. I am both solution-focused and insight-driven, helping clients better understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while also building concrete tools for change. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard, while also helping them develop the skills needed to create meaningful, lasting change. Drawing from CBT and DBT, I focus on shifting unhelpful thought patterns, improving emotional regulation, and helping clients move toward the life they want with clarity and confidence.

It emphasizes identifying strengths, building on what’s already working, and developing realistic solutions that can be implemented right away. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, helping clients leave sessions with a clearer sense of direction and practical steps they can begin using in their daily lives.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative approach I use to help engage clients and support meaningful change. It encourages clients to explore their own thoughts and feelings while strengthening motivation and commitment to their goals. This method also emphasizes autonomy, ensuring clients remain in control of their own therapeutic process.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a valuable skill that helps clients manage difficult emotions and navigate challenging situations with greater awareness and ease. I especially enjoy helping clients find mindfulness tools that feel simple, accessible, and engaging, so they can realistically incorporate them into their daily lives.

Humanistic

I also incorporate a Humanistic approach in my work, which emphasizes the whole person and honors each client’s strengths, values, and capacity for growth. This perspective supports clients in building self-awareness, self-acceptance, and a deeper sense of personal meaning in their lives.
