Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I am a faith-based therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I also serve as a National Certified Counselor, Addiction and Recovery Specialist, Certified Life Coach, and Board Certified Biblical Counselor. I understand what it means to keep pressing forward through life’s challenges. I’ve walked through seasons filled with sleepless nights, fear, and obstacles—but I’ve also experienced how God can turn those very moments into opportunities for growth, healing, and purpose. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or even held captive by what you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone. My heart is to walk alongside you, helping you find freedom, renewed hope, and clarity. There truly is light at the end of the tunnel. With over 10 years of experience in clinical mental health, I offer a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered space where you can be heard, encouraged, and empowered. Together, we will flow into healing waters, embrace growth, and walk boldly in the abundant life you were created to live. Healing is your portion!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our sessions will be a safe, compassionate, and Christ-centered space, whether you are navigating specific challenges or seeking personal and spiritual growth. Each session is thoughtfully designed to renew your strength and encourage your heart, integrating Biblical truth with clinical interventions to help uncover meaningful insights. Together, we will explore your experiences through a lens of faith, inviting God’s wisdom, grace, and guidance into the process. You will be supported in a safe and nurturing environment where healing can take place, truth can be revealed, and transformation can begin. Throughout our time together, you will also be equipped with practical tools and faith-based principles to help you grow, heal, and walk confidently on your journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am a follower of Christ Jesus, bringing a Christ-centered approach to therapy. I have experience across residential, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs, including substance abuse programs, teaching and group facilitation, psychiatric hospitals, crisis counseling, public and private schools, juvenile court, and community support. I integrate Biblical truth with clinical expertise to provide compassionate, practical, and transformative care, meeting people where they are and guiding them toward healing, growth, and lasting freedom.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using CBT is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will identify and examine negative thoughts and beliefs: This involves recognizing automatic thoughts and underlying beliefs contributing to your distress. Challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts to question the validity of your thoughts and develop more balanced and realistic perspectives. We will develop coping skills and strategies such as relaxation techniques, problem-solving, and assertiveness to manage difficult situations and emotions
Faith based therapy
I incorporate a biblical approach into my sessions. We will explore how faith and scripture can support your emotional and mental health, bringing peace and strength to the challenges. We will begin each session with a brief moment of prayer.
Christian Counseling
Incorporating faith and scripture can support your emotional and mental health, bringing peace and strength to the challenges. We will begin each session with a brief moment of prayer.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Helping individuals understand their thoughts and feelings more flexibly allows them to act in accordance with their values despite difficult emotions. It emphasizes accepting challenging experiences rather than trying to control or eliminate them.
Couples Counseling
Counseling provides a secure space where individuals can feel comfortable sharing their experiences and emotions without fear of judgment. Exploration of Thoughts and Feelings: Through open dialogue, clients can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their beliefs, and the underlying causes of their challenges. Goal Setting and Change: The goal of couples counseling is to create a safe space to help couples identify their goals, develop strategies for change, and work collaboratively with the therapist to gain rapport and achieve their desired outcomes.

Loved my first session - can't wait to join more sessions. I wanted to speak to someone who values Biblical principles and I definitely received this from Latasha. I would recommend for sure!

My first session with Ms. Harris was very very helpful. I am so looking forward to more sessions with her, because if the first one was really helpful i can only imagine the rest. She was open minded, she listened, she gave very powerful feedback and helpful tools to help me. Will highly recommend her to anyone.
