LMHC, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
My counseling style is warm, caring, and interactive. I create a safe, stigma-free environment where all clients are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. I work to form a treatment plan in coordination with the client so that we can have the most successful counseling relationship possible. Together we can begin to create a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. As we discover potential underlying issues, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with strength-based approach to help people change their thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior to improve their current situation and their work and interpersonal relationships.
The initial session is dedicated to a comprehensive assessment, beginning with a review of your background history. We will clearly identify the primary concerns you wish to address and explore your commitment and readiness for the therapeutic process. Furthermore, we will establish initial goals, discuss a potential treatment plan, and clarify appointment scheduling logistics. This is also a dedicated time for you to ask any questions and voice any concerns regarding the therapeutic framework and process.
My greatest strength lies in empowering clients to activate their own potential for change. I specialize in guiding clients to clearly identify and commit to the necessary challenges presented in therapy, collaborating closely with them to devise practical, lasting modifications. Part of my goals is to open questions for the clients to reflect on, which helps them find the answers that often reside within. My role is to provide the dedicated emotional support and objective guidance needed to help them take the critical next steps and realize their transformative goal of achieving a healthier and happier life.
I offer psychotherapy services to adults, ages 18 and older, addressing a diverse range of concerns. My focus areas include: Emotional Well-being: Anxiety, grief and loss, and managing caregiver burnout. Life Transitions: Adjustment to significant life changes, career transitions, and the college experience. Interpersonal Dynamics: Conflicts within family, romantic, and social relationships. Identity and Growth: Personal development, self-esteem enhancement, and stressors related to acculturation/immigration. Services are provided proficiently in English, Spanish, or Spanglish to ensure maximum client comfort and effectiveness.
CBT is a collaborative approach focusing on how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. We work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and behavioral responses that contribute to your current distress. Through structured techniques, you learn to challenge and modify these patterns, developing healthier coping strategies to achieve your therapeutic goals.
