Hi there, I am Christine. I have been honored to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds struggling with challenging issues for many years. I base my understanding of how people function and how they heal in human physiology and Christian practices. People experience adverse events differently, impacting them emotionally, physically, and spiritually. These experiences are often not understood verbally by the person, that is why it is important for me to help individuals understand the many levels to healing. Change from a Christian perspective is very practical and personal, while taking into account what might remain unknown on the nonverbal level. In therapy, I utilize a Christian perspective, where the whole person, mind, body, soul, and spirit are valued and addressed according to a biblical interpretation. The mind, body, and spirit are all connected, and the spiritual component is essential to complete wholeness and restoration. I believe the Bible is the infallible and inspired word of God and is relevant to all areas of life. I believe it is vital to utilize evidence based therapeutic approaches while incorporating scripture as we take a closer look at all areas of your life. The integration of Christian teaching in therapy with individuals who desire this type of intervention helps them gain a sense of hope for life in Jesus Christ. In my therapeutic approach, I value the positive benefits of faith-based interventions enabling individuals to connect their mental health treatment with their faith creating a more holistic approach to treatment and personal growth. I am here to help; you do not have to figure this out alone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Offering you exceptional care is my first priority. I strive from our first session to provide an interaction that creates trust, where you feel safe and understood. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I specialize in Christian counseling, offering relief from depression, anxiety, anger, and grief. In therapy, I focus on the whole person - spirit, soul, and body. I utilize interventions that not only address mental or emotional issues but consider spiritual dimensions of an individual’s life. I assist clients in aligning their faith with their mental health journey, encouraging them to see their struggles not just as psychological issues but as opportunities for spiritual growth.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling involves blending psychological practices (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Solution-Focused Therapy) with biblical principles. In treatment, I utilize my training in psychology and base my care for others in the Christian faith. This allows me to guide clients through emotional or mental struggles while referencing Christian teachings, such as: Forgiveness: Helping individuals understand the power of forgiveness, both for others and for themselves, as modeled by Christ. Hope and Redemption: Emphasizing God’s love, mercy, and the potential for transformation, no matter the challenges faced. Biblical wisdom: Using Scripture to provide guidance and direction in emotional or relational issues.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Biblical Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This approach combines the cognitive restructuring techniques of CBT with the spiritual guidance of Scripture, helping clients to challenge negative thinking patterns and replace them with more biblical, hopeful thoughts.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes practical problem-solving and goal setting. In faith based therapy clients are encouraged to align their plans and behaviors with their worldview and beliefs.
