Greetings. I'm Bob Whether you're dealing with feelings of being overwhelmed, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe place to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together! Based on my own life experiences growing up in various locations throughout Pennsylvania I have developed an understanding of what is unique about different regions of our state. Based on my own experiences as a partner , parent, student and having worked several blue-collar jobs I can better understand a persons concern. So let's get together and talk, my approach is a very casual informal approach to therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will focus on it primarily being a meet and greet and to start the process of developing a strong therapeutic alliance. The first session will involve getting important information from the patient in regards to understand their presenting problem and collaboratively develop a treatment plan to meet the patients goals

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through the many years of real-life experiences, I believe I am able to meet my clients where they are at in life and empathically understand their struggles. I believe the primary therapy techniques I work with we can collaboratively find your personal happiness. Over the years of being in the helping field i believe I have developed the therapeutic skills to understand the many issues at various stages of an individuals life. Being a semi-retired therapist myself I understand keenly the many issues associated with older adults .

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding the connection between how our thoughts in regards to difficult situations is what creates our emotional and behavioral responses is an important concept. By thinking about what we are thinking you can work on cognitive restructuring to calm your emotional and behavioral responses.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Therapy has been a proven therapy method that focuses on addressing current barriers to being a happier person and finding solutions. SFBT focuses on immediate changes without spending excessive time analyzing the past and has proven effective with a limited amount of sessions. I combine CBT and SFBT to find a calmer self.
